Dear friends and colleagues,
Hope you’re all doing well!
Yesterday was June 15th, so if you forget to pay your quarterlies, now is the time. (Though I think there is an automatic extension this year - ask your CPA.)
Here’s what I have lined up for this week’s newsletter:
👨👦 Father’s Day
🎉 Integrity Practice Sales Arizona
Let’s get started!
👨👦 Happy Father’s Day!
As Father's Day approaches, I thought I would take the opportunity to dedicate this newsletter to my dad and grandfathers.
For me, Father’s Day is basically Dentist Day.
My grandfathers both became dentists after their time in the Navy - my mom’s dad attended dental school on the GI bill, and my dad’s dad re-enlisted after his time in Korea and served as a Navy dentist through the early parts of the Vietnam War. They were both pioneers who took risks and worked hard to make better lives for their families.
Fast forward a few years and my folks met in dental school at Loma Linda (my mom was in the hygiene program - hi mom!), and my dad eventually purchased his dad’s practice in Poway, CA.
After buying the practice, he started making changes. He worked with consultants, read books and articles, and constantly sought opportunities to optimize systems and processes.
After a few years, he quadrupled his collections. I believe he grew his single doctor practice to 16 hygiene days. By every metric, the practice was a huge success.

good times - I believe this is Mammoth
So it was all the more surprising when he decided to sell his practice in 1995.
Mom was rightly concerned.
But dad realized that he enjoyed helping other doctors with their practices more than he liked working in his own practice.
Kimball Consulting was born.
And here we are, almost 30 years later. It’s been my privilege to work with my dad every day, both with the consulting and with the brokerage he co-founded with Darren Hulstine (another hardworking father).
My dad has devoted his professional life to dentistry; his continual quest for innovation and constant desire to share his knowledge inspires me. And beyond all of that, he’s a good man, and I’m lucky to be his son.

Not the best photo, but it was fairly recent!
Happy Father’s Day, Dad!
And to all the fathers and father-figures reading this, I thank you for your dedication and commitment to making the world smile brighter.
🎉 Arizona, Here We Come!
After much hard work, I'm thrilled to share that we are embarking on an exciting chapter in the Integrity Practice Sales journey.
In our continuous effort to bring exceptional brokerage services to more dental professionals, we're expanding our horizons into the beautiful state of Arizona!

Our very own Scott Taylor, MBA - a seasoned dental practice broker - will be serving as our broker in Arizona. With a proven track record of success, Scott's dedication to serving the dental community mirrors the core values upon which IPS was founded.
I also have the pleasure of introducing David Sampson, our man on the ground in Arizona. David's expertise and intimate knowledge of the local market will provide invaluable support, and together with Scott, they will undoubtedly foster a meaningful and lasting connection between IPS and our future clients in the region.
Scott and David have actually been best friends since childhood, and it’s been fun working with both of them to ensure that we cover every legal and compliance challenge associated with expanding into a new state.
Now the real work can begin!
We look forward to continuing to serve the dental community, and we're eager to make new connections in Arizona.
To that end, if anyone you know in Arizona is looking for a practice, thinking about selling, or works with dentists, we would love an introduction!
You can reach Scott at (650) 374-9383 or [email protected].
Thank you for being part of our journey so far and for joining us in celebrating this exciting new chapter.
And with that, I hope you enjoyed the 16th edition of The Build-Up Weekly.

With best wishes to you and your families,
